Nerdist Channel launch– look for Kids in the Hall on Fridays!

Just as I thought, we’re going to have to wait until Friday for the Kids. They’re worth the wait!

By Sean O’Neal April 2, 2012

Much like the upcoming TV adaptations of Comedy Bang Bang and WTF With Marc Maronhave allowed listeners to stop using their mind’s eye to picture what’s happening in their favorite podcasts—and instead return to using it to picture early-’90s CGI sequences—Chris Hardwick has launched a video version of Nerdist, bringing his show’s goofy, nerdy sensibilities to their very own YouTube channel.

Beginning today, The Nerdist Channel launches a regular programming week of rotating shows that includes the Hardwick-hosted All-Star Celebrity Bowling on Mondays,Face To Face With Weird Al Yankovic and the gaming-focused The Indoor Kids on alternating Tuesdays, Comic Book Club on Wednesdays, Ain’t It Cool News With Harry Knowles on Thursdays, and on Fridays, episodes of Weird S#!t From Japan will trade off every other week with classic Kids In The Hall episodes updated with bonus cast interviews. Hardwick also promises more original series to come with familiar faces like Neil Patrick Harris, Rob Zombie, and Neil deGrasse Tyson, plus assorted content from The Jim Henson Company and Broadway Video libraries. (Sadly, no reruns of Shipmates.)
